"Ding dong" the neighbor comes by with a microwave stand for the steal of a price of $15, I thought that price included the microwave, but they already had one of those.

TR: What’s the next question, OK after you got your harness how long was it that you were climbing in hiking boots before you got a pair of normal shoes.
JB: For a while, after I got my dynamic rope and a harness I would rent shoes from REI or I would just climb barefoot.
TR: Who were you climbing with at this time.
AB: With me.
JB: We would usually go out, and sometimes I would go out by myself and find someone to climb with.
TR: Cool, so are you still going to Colorado.
JB: No, I am not going to be able to go. Amanda’s going.
AB: Yeah, I am going to with some of my cousins.
TR: Are they climbers.
AB: They are not 5.8 climbers or anything.
TR: Not good like you.
AB: I am not even that good anymore.
TR: What do your parents think about climbing.
JB: They think its cool, I’ve taken both my parents out and my mom is pretty good, she is real athletic.
TR: And your sister climbs?
JB: Yeah, AB: She’s used my shoes more that me.
TR: Does your brother in law climb anymore?
AB: Yeah, but he has always been real flaky, my mom wouldn’t want him to climb if she knew that you were climbing.
TR: Me, she’s never met me, Really?
AB: Yeah, if Dale was going to go climbing with us, she would ask if you were going, and if you were, she wouldn’t let him go..

TR: Well, that is good that she has such a positive opinion of me, what did you tell her about me.
AB: Nothing, I don’t know what her deal is.

I left this young couple in there new suburban home as Jason was getting ready to go to him comedy defensive driving class, where I am sure he would be the trouble maker. The year plus that I have been climbing with Jason, he has proved to be one of the most dependable and enthusiastic of all the climbers that have drifted in and out of my posse. He is quiet, but on a long rode trip to Arkansas, he has been known to tell a story or two while AC/Dc is playing in the background. Amanda has waned from the climbing scene, and needs to come back, her honesty and good-naturedness is a positive force when all the frustrated climbers are sounding off and she is cheerfully telling stories about someone being an idiot.
