Toprope: Man, it sucks that you totally got popped for something you didn't even do, and word is that they are trying to pin this assassination on you, was that your rifle?
Oswald: No Comment.
Toprope: Oh, OK, I understand, you don't want to incriminate yourself, allright, let's talk about something we both enjoy, climbing.
Oswald: Sure.
Toprope: How long have you been climbing for now.
Oswald: About a year and a half, I got into it shortly after coming to the Dallas/Fort Worth area, Marina and the baby would start in, getting on my nerves, I would say, "What's wrong with this family?", the answer of course, was that none of us had any past times. I delved into climbing.
Toprope: Who do you usually climb with?
Oswald: This guy named Jack, he owns some titty joints so he has a lot of extra time to go to the crag, he is a little overweight, so I usually tie in when I belay him on his 5.6's, if I don't tie in he pulls my ass up the rock. You see what happened. (He points to his face).
Toprope: The black eye, did he hit you?
Oswald: Well that was an accident, his foot caught me right in the eye socket, but the man does have a temper, we were supposed to climb yesterday, and well, you know, I was here, I am sure he is pissed.
Toprope: Well, he has got to understand, I mean, you are being detained.
Oswald: No, he won't understand, you can't use logic with this man, if you plan to climb with him and you don't show, he will want to fuck you up, he's got a one track mind, someone told me that he was trying to get in here to "see" me.
Toprope: Are you nervous about him getting by security?
Oswald: A little, but not really, the only people they are letting in are lawyers and reporters.
(Knocking on the window, Officer signaling that my interview time is up)
Shortly after this interview, Oswald was shot by his ex-belayman/bouldering partner/friend, Oswald first ascented two 5.8 routes which were later named "sniper's nest" and "grassy knoll", as far as the assassination inquiry, his name should be cleared because history has shown that great athletes are never found guilty of such heinous crimes.
